Paul Thornton has been a successful manager and leader. He now works with managers and leaders facilitating change always with a focus on excellence. He has managed staff in small and large organisations; he has led change processes and provided coaching and mentoring to chief executives in government, the private sector and NGOs. Paul is the founder director of Verulam Associates a UK based company that specializes in institutional development, governance and policy change. Following a career in public sector management and poverty policy analysis in the UK Paul focused on support to organisations seeking to address poverty through his consultancy practice. He spends most of his time facilitating organisational change and evaluating organisational performance. Verulam Associates has sister companies in India and Bangladesh and works for a wide range of clients including the World Bank, Asian Development Bank, European Commission, the UK DFID, Sida, the Netherlands Govt., Norwegian Govt. and UN agencies together with directly contracted work for governments, private sector organisations and major national and international NGOs. Experience extends across South and South East Asia, Europe, the Middles east and South and East Africa. Paul’s undergraduate training was in mathematics and psychology but he holds a masters in management development and social responsibility together with post graduate diplomas in social work and clinical organisational psychology – so expect a mix of left and right brain – humour, challenge and the chance to explore your own work with someone who has a passion for change and a commitment to make a difference. |
