Indrajith (Jith) Wijesiriwardana is a consultant in development finance specializing in microfinance and other related field including Microfinance in post-conflict and post-disaster situations, Capacity Building and Training and Business Planning. Jith is a Chartered Management Accountant and holds MBA and MA (Econ) degrees. Presently he is based in Colchester, England and heads Uvades Consulting Ltd, a development management consultancy.
His work experience includes technical assistance to MFIs in capacity building, project design, product development, evaluations, appraisal, process costing and training. He has worked as a consultant to a number of leading international development agencies that include the Consultative Group to Assist the Poorest (CGAP), USAID, the World Bank, the Department for International Development (DFID) and Women’s world Banking, NY. He is also an associate of several international consultancy firms.
Jith is a certified CGAP trainer and was a member of the CGAP resource teams for capacity building initiative in Asia. His previous training experience includes a stint as a resource person in the Boulder Microfinance Program.
He has extensive project management experience and the most recent as the Team Leader, Rural Finance Sector Development Project, and a sectoral capacity building effort in Sri Lanka, funded by ADB. His previous work experience includes commercial banking and development banking and managing the local arm of an international consultancy firm in Sri Lanka. He has worked in over 20 countries in Asia, Africa, Americas and Europe.
