Performance Culture & Leadership
The role of the leader is to set and maintain the vision of the organisation. Leadership skills, and qualities, your own leadership profile and potential, and the risks and opportunities of leadership will all be covered using case material from within the group and lessons from best practice in international leadership experience.
 
Session 01
will focus on the role of the leader, the challenges faced by members of the group in leading within their own organisations and the types of leader found in 21st century organisations. What qualities mark out the good leader? How do you develop these skills? Are leaders born or made? How do you improve as a leader?
Session 02
will focus on organisational culture, what is it? How do you change organisational culture? What is the role of the leader in these processes? What is the culture of your own organisation and how do you want to see it change?
Session 03
will focus on developing as a leader, where do you find support and how do you handle the stresses and pressures? Mentoring and coaching for leaders will be explored within the group developing problem solving skills that will be used during the rest of the course.
Session 04
will focus on excellence in performance. How does the leader ensure excellence and build high performance within their management team and within the organisation? How do you understand the resistances and blocks to improving performance that can hold the organisation back and find solutions that work.
Session 05
will look at you as a leader. Whether you are a new leader, or looking forward to playing a leadership role how do you see your own strengths and challenges? Where do you get support? How do you ensure you achieve excellence in leading now and in the future?
