| Managing Change & Growth for Organizational Leaders |
What sort of manager are you? This will be an experiential process that will use your experience and the experiences of the group as the material through which change, growth and the role of the manager is explored and developed. The skills of managing growth and change are complex. They require a deep understanding of individuals, groups and organisations. We will explore the challenges facing managers within micro-finance and related organisations as they change and grow. However managing change for others starts with managing change for yourself – so be prepared to look at yourself first. |
| |
| Session 01 |
will focus on the management roles within the group, expectations and experience; definitions and models of leadership will be examined with opportunities to share current problems. |
| Session 02 |
will focus on managing your own change, becoming a leader, moving into a senior role and changing your approach to colleague and organisational task. |
| Session 03 |
will focus on managing change in others, individuals, teams, and groups of staff. Changing organisations and supporting staff through periods of growth requires skill and understanding in managing others and gaining their commitment to change and growth. |
| Session 04 |
will focus on managing organizational changes. Planning a major organisational change and/or a period of substantial growth and ensuring its delivery is a highly strategic process. The manager needs to understand the resistances and blocks to change and manage them effectively. Most organizational changes fail because of internal resistance rather than external problems – both need to be anticipated and addressed. |
| Session 05 |
will look at your career path as a manager, and the management of transitions within your own career and that of your organisation. Sharing experiences and expectations within the group will provide opportunities to test and think through new directions and within a safe learning environment. |
